While the exact cause of ADHD is unknown, it is believed to be the result of a combination of genetic and environmental factors. ADHD can be diagnosed by a healthcare professional and may be treated with a combination of medication, behavioral therapy, and lifestyle changes.

There are three main forms of ADHD:

  1. Inattentive Type ADHD: This type of ADHD is also known as ADD (Attention Deficit Disorder). Individuals with this type of ADHD have difficulty paying attention, completing tasks, and staying organized. They may also be forgetful,
easily distracted, and may struggle with following instructions.
  2. Hyperactive-Impulsive Type ADHD: Individuals with this type of ADHD are hyperactive and impulsive. They may have difficulty sitting still, may talk excessively, and may interrupt others. They may also act before thinking, take risks without considering consequences, and have trouble waiting for their turn.
  3. Combined Type ADHD: This type of ADHD includes symptoms of both inattention and hyperactivity-impulsivity. Individuals with combined type ADHD may struggle with paying attention, staying organized, being easily distracted, as well as being hyperactive, impulsive, and fidgety.

It is important to note that ADHD can present differently in each individual, and some people may have symptoms that fall outside of these categories. A healthcare professional can help diagnose ADHD and determine the best treatment plan for an individuals specific symptoms and needs.
